Buying a House In Mexico--Temporary and Permanent Residents Travelling Outside of Mexico
Important! When you are travelling and in the process of obtaining a Temporary or Permanent Resident Visa, do not allow your FMM tourist visa to be market "tourist"!

When travelling outside of Mexico, once you have a Temporary or Permanent Resident visa it is required you stop and obtain a FMM tourist visa at immigration. That is the same card a tourist completes. On it please write your visa status at the top.
Never allow your FMM Tourist Visa to be marked as "tourist".
You keep half and submit that half upon re-entry in to Mexico. When driving or flying this legal requirement is the same.
